Mazon River

The Mazon River is a smaller river that flows into the Illinois river around Rt. 47 in Morris. From Wilmington to Morris is about 25 miles.

The river flows around 3 MPH, with plenty of riffles. It does have a couple of tight curves that feature rapids.

Dams and Portaging

The northern part of The Mazon river features no dams. The occasional deadfall portage can be needed at times.
